David Van Iseghem is an attorney specializing in national and international business law (including contracts, distribution, market practices, and international trade), construction law, IT law, intellectual property, TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications), and conflict management.
David has particular expertise in advising on business law matters and in drafting and negotiating a wide range of national and international commercial contracts. These include general terms and conditions, distribution agreements (such as commercial agency, franchising, and concession), sales agreements, service agreements, management contracts, licensing agreements, SLAs, and co-development arrangements.
In addition, he assists clients in negotiations and in finding solutions to commercial disputes. Where appropriate or necessary, he conducts legal proceedings before Belgian courts and tribunals, as well as in the context of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
David has been practicing law since 2006 and was admitted to the Bar of Hasselt, now the Limburg Bar. He has gained extensive experience at specialized and multidisciplinary law firms.
He is a certified mediator in civil and commercial matters and is appointed in that capacity by the courts or at the request of the parties. David is also a member of the editorial board of the legal journal Limburgs Rechtsleven (published by Die Keure), and for several years taught contract law in the postgraduate Business Management program at Hasselt University. He regularly publishes in his areas of expertise and has led numerous seminars and training sessions for organizations such as Voka, VKW, and Unizo.
