At Andersen in Belgium, environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles are central to our mission, our strategy and the way we work with clients. We believe that long-term business success must go hand in hand with responsible practices that create value for people, the planet and society as a whole.

To reinforce this commitment, we have voluntarily adopted the Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs developed by EFRAG. While we are not subject to the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), this voluntary framework enables us to align with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and communicate transparently on a broad range of ESG topics.

Beyond reporting, we take a proactive and practical approach to ESG . We regularly assess how our activities impact the environment and society, while also evaluating how sustainability-related risks and opportunities influence our operations and long-term strategy.

Our ESG work spans key areas including:

Climate impact
Biodiversity
Responsible resource use
Fair labour practices
Supply chain transparency
Business ethics
Responsible governance

By applying the principle of double materiality , we ensure that our ESG efforts are both outwardly responsible and strategically relevant. This enables us to communicate our performance clearly and credibly to clients, partners and stakeholders.

At the core of our mission is the ambition to integrate corporate social responsibility into all aspects of our operations . Internally, we are building a diverse, inclusive and empowering workplace where our team is encouraged to grow, innovate and contribute meaningfully. We invest in talent development and promote a culture of continuous learning, particularly in the fast-evolving ESG landscape.

Externally, we support our clients in achieving their ESG objectives. Through expert legal guidance, we help businesses:

Manage sustainability-related risks
Adapt to new regulations
Implement governance frameworks that promote ethical and resilient growth

As part of Andersen Global, we provide seamless access to international expertise, delivering ESG support that is locally informed, globally aligned and tailored to each client’s unique context.

In a world where sustainability increasingly shapes corporate decision-making, Andersen in Belgium is a trusted legal partner, helping clients lead with purpose, navigate complexity and build long-term value through responsible business.
