21st century organisations need inclusive governance structures within which engaged, competent and courageous people can shape the economy of the future.

Sandra Gobert holds a master degree in law and certificates in accounting, financial and tax law and management. She is GUBERNA Certified Director since 2010 and executive director of GUBERNA since 2019. She completed Chapter Zero’s Directors Climate Journey in 2021.

An entrepreneur at heart, she has been involved in the creation of several enterprises since 1991 and has held executive and non-executive mandates in various sectors. Expert in corporate law, governance and sustainability regulation, she is member of the Brussels’ Bar since 1992. In 1998, she created the E.E.I.G. Law Link  – the Global Law Group as well as the law firm Sub Rosa Legal in 2006. In September 2024, Sub Rosa Legal merged with the law firm Andersen in Belgium, of which Sandra Gobert became a partner and member of the executive committee.

Since May 2019 she is independent director of Fluxys Belgium SA where she is member of the Corporate Governance Committee and of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. She sits on the board of ecoDa, the European Confederation of Directors Associations and presides ecoDa’s working group on ESG. She is member of the ESG Exchange advisory committee as well as of the advisory committee of Chapter Zero. She is a member of the board of the Corporate Governance Committee.  

For her, the organisations of the 21st century are in need of inclusive governance structures, through which committed, competent and courageous people can shape the economy of the future.

The EU proposes sustainability reporting to simplify

On February 26, 2025, the European Commission presented a proposal to significantly simplify EU rules on sustainability reporting. This affects the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D), the Taxonomy Regulation, and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). This is being done through an “Omnibus Simplification Package.”
