LawTax makes the move to Andersen

LawTax is a Belgian law firm focused on tax advice and legal services, for both businesses and individuals. They offer customized solutions and strategies based on in-depth knowledge of tax laws and corporate structures.  

Through this acquisition Andersen now has an offer in Wavre allowing us to strengthen our expertise and services in the region. The lawyer and staff from the Brussels office of LawTax move to the Brussels office of Andersen on Porte de Namur. 

Some of LawTax’s key areas of expertise include: 

• Corporate tax: Advice on tax structures and strategies for companies. 

• Private tax advice: Support for individuals in matters such as inheritance tax, estate planning and tax issues. 

• Restructurings and mergers: Legal and tax advice on corporate mergers, acquisitions and restructurings. 

• Litigation and Proceedings: Assistance in tax disputes and litigation in administrative and legal proceedings. 

Meet our new colleagues: 

Thierry Litannie, Partner: Lawyer since 1993 at the Brussels Bar and the Walloon Brabant Bar. Thierry Litannie is an experienced lawyer with more than 25 years of expertise in tax law, both for individuals and companies. He specializes in taxation, VAT, estate planning and criminal tax law. He is co-director of the special license in estate planning at UCL-Bergen and founder of the ICHECC – Companies and the Febelfin Academy.

Sébastien Watelet, Partner: A member of the Brussels Bar since 2002, Sébastien advises clients on general tax law, criminal tax law and commercial law. He mediates disputes with the tax administration, both in administrative and judicial proceedings, and regularly negotiates with the tax authorities and the Minister of Finance.

Gabriel Rifflart, Partner: Lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 2005 and specializes in tax law, including direct and indirect taxation, tax optimization, succession and commercial law. He has contributed to works such as La déduction des charges professionnelles 2015. 

Ludovic Hubert, Partner: Lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 2011. Ludovic advises the association’s clients on a daily basis in commercial, tax as well as intellectual property law.

Jean-Benoit Capelle, Senior Counsel: Attorney at the Brussels Bar since 2007. Jean-Benoit advises clients of the firm on questions of tax law, commercial law, corporate law and intellectual property management.

Lisa Delinte, Senior Counsel: Lisa has been an attorney at the Brussels Bar since 2018 and advises the association’s clients in the areas of tax law, commercial law, civil law and corporate law.

Laura De Pauw, Senior Associate: Laura has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 2021 and specializes in tax law
